Well that's never happened to me before. The countdown stopped at 5 seconds remaining, then by the time the quiz loaded question 1 was over and question 2's time was half up. Plus I couldn't see any answers listed for question 2, but I could see how many people had selected each answer, so I clicked on the one with the most votes and got it correct.

Mr. Gentlemen isn't even on the top 100...

Edit: yes, he is. I must have missed him at first.

Countdown stopped at 7 seconds and the screen remained frozen, then suddenly saw Question 2. Got all the rest correct and also knew the answer to Q1 too, so feeling robbed of my chance to win the Grand Prize.

On a more lighthearted note:
Since the theme of the hints was Mythical Birds I decided to read up on Ibis, when I stumbled on this:
According to Claudius Aelianus in De Natura Animalium, and Gaius Julius Solinus, both quoting much earlier but now lost authors, the sacred ibis procreates with its bill, and thus the bird is always a virgin.
They. fucking. WHAT.
But wait, it gets even better:
Pliny and Galen ascribe the invention of the clyster (enema) to the ibis, as according to them it gave such treatments to hippopotami. Plutarch assures us it uses only salt water for this purpose. 1600 years later this was still accepted science, as Claude Perrault, in his anatomical descriptions of the bird, claimed to have found a hole in the bill which the bird used for that purpose.
WHAT :ROFLMAO:

I was saved on this by Terraria - harpies are high in the air, so - not them... ;)
I haven't even reviewed my screenshots yet to see what the actual question was, but I did notice that harpy was misspelled "harps", so.... easy choice; siren.
H5 was definitely the one with the most extensive notes on my end today:
TTRM's notes said:
Devil Bird (locally known as Ulama) – shrieks predicting death, like banshee (Sri Lankan)
Siren
Harpy: Later writers listed the harpies among the guardians of the underworld among other monstrosities
Erinyes / Furies: "Eumenides" in hell, "Furiae" on earth, and "Dirae" in heaven.
Psychopomp: whip-poor-wills, ravens, crows, vultures, owls, sparrows and cuckoos
Sirin – birds with women heads, lured men to their death (Russia, Greek)
Was mainly expecting "Ulama" to be the answer; There's a difference between "predicting death" and "luring people to their death"...

Purposely misspelled, if you don't mind :)) I found this clickbaity title to be quite a fitting hint https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/43zaxd/sirens-greek-mythology-women-death

Sorry to everyone for the last quiz, not sure what happened, I was missing 10 points as well when I tested it...so yeah, a good chunk of people were affected, I can confirm that, not just a few like sometimes.

No quiz this weekend, messed up a bit, I thought it was the Oscars and I prepared something themed on that, but turns out the event is in fact next week, so at least you already know an upcoming theme. I won't be able to prepare something else this weekend, some extra work came up, sorry.

Thanks for delaying the quiz:)
Thursday quiz could not be completed due to a fatal bug

Just before the start, the timer stops
It started late, but freezed after completing the first question
After that, the quiz does not proceed and the timer loops
After a while, press F5 to finish the quiz and get 10 points

This is what happened to me
It did not seem to happen to others, please fix(y)

Thanks ^^
Now I can fully enjoy the b-day I'm attending this evening, without having this thing bothering my mind. ^^

Something similar happened to me, I got the first question normally but the delay was too long. Then it didn't register my correct answer, and the rest continued normally.
