Curse you, Yin and Yang!!!

Those are some of the immovable truths of the universe, but sadly one can't choose them both, therefor True, which is also a truth, would encapsulate themshrek is love and shrek is live is in my opinion correct answer![]()
You need to get in touch with your chakra. ^^Curse you, Yin and Yang!!!

Dang, that was a satisfying 10/10.
Was somewhat worried at Q10: While I know she has made appearances in the movies, I couldn't really recall if she made an appearance in the first movie.
A lot of people were weeded out on Q4 as well.

I'm glad I checked that piece of info twice. ^^
Technical notes: A noticeable delay on Q1 (as has been common), otherwise nothing mentionable.
Well, with the quarantine and all, technically there would be time for that, but we'll see, no promises.Nice Quiz. Will there be a QuizMarathon in the near future?

Same, same.Curse you, Yin and Yang!!!
Hence the dot of black/white in the middle of the other half.Even if the question said Yin = black and Yang = white, or the other way around, in my opinion it would have still been wrong, since neither are completely white/black (by definition). Unless I'd have used a word like predominantly or in larger proportion.
About H1 - we are getting into philosophical issues here, but most widely accepted POV that dark magic also deals with "bad influences", be it dark energies or demonic powers. Either way it corrupts caster's soul and so it's bad. Even if you start with good intentions overtime you will turn to dark side. ;PIn regards of H1 for today's quiz...
Who's to say that casting dark magic to vanquish evil is not a benevolent act? ;p
And regarding H2... What would an hindu widow wear if they were to become a widow "after Labour Day"?
HP did successfully use the Imperius Curse though.About H1 - we are getting into philosophical issues here, but most widely accepted POV that dark magic also deals with "bad influences", be it dark energies or demonic powers. Why Harry Potter never used Avada and actually defeated Voldemort with Expelliarmus? One time he tried to use Crucio it didn't work (and Bella explains why). But that's just one example (that most people know about).
As for H2... I just didn't understand the reference. I don't think there's a Labour Day in India?
Not really?Even if the question said Yin = black and Yang = white, or the other way around, in my opinion it would have still been wrong, since neither are completely white/black (by definition). Unless I'd have used a word like predominantly or in larger proportion.
HP... And there are numerous discussions about why and how and the influence that use of those spells would have had on him. We don't know much for sure because J.K.R. never gave us much about post-war Magic world (and I don't include The Cursed Child - it never happenedHP did successfully use the Imperius Curse though.
Dark magic was just the first that came to mind. Any non-white magic would fit into the question though. (Doesn't even have to be for the purpose of vanquishing evil. Could be something as simple as using a blast of ice to extinguish a fire - surely a benevolent act.) It was a somewhat hastily written question.
As for Labour Day.... The hindu in question doesn't have to be situated in India.
(I originally wrote "American hindu", but after googling Labour Day and seeing that it's not exclusive to the US, I omitted it.)
I have an idea about what TT talks about, but googled a bit to be certain and found this:HP... As for blast of ice - that's actually a white magic: use of one of the elements (water). Though if you extinguishing a "good" fire (to make people froze)... And again - you can kill with Wingardium Leviosa, but what ultimately make dark magic dark - it's effect on the soul of caster. There never to be a "good side" to Unforgivables. And no - I'm not strictly against euthanasia.
Hindu - means traditional hindu, religion and customs, not just ethnic belonging. And in this regard widow would always wear white.
And I still don't get the reference to Labour Day. I'm missing something here - bad google-fu...

ExactlySo, he's referring to a contradiction between a social norm (federal holiday related) vs a religious norm, which would prevail in this situation. One tells you to wear only white, the other tells you to completely avoid white. A paradox, of sorts, if you are an avid follower of both customs.
