Wow, that was tense! Was really expecting to see Tundro from Family Guy and the rhino that is _actually_ on Tinder, named Sudan.

Also, thank you to Jack Hanna.

Analysis.... (just for the heck of it)
(The following is based on (my own perception of) how relevant the info alluded to by the hints was in relation to their respective questions.)

Q1:
Couldn't really find anything too tangible on this one. Luckily, it was as easy as Q1 usually is.
Still had to carefully read both the question and the options though, costing enough time to almost miss the answering-deadline.
If not for Q1 being as easy as it usually is, I'd likely be clueless. ("Rhinocerotidae" could well have been a trap)
The hint could just as well have been blank on this one.
("Löwenbräu" and "Tundro", anyone?)

Q2:
Nothing noteworthy to say. Easy one.

Q3:
Nothing noteworthy to say. Easy one.
(Actually learned this fact ages ago.... Talk about a wicked nose-hair ;p )

Q4:
Nothing noteworthy to say. Easy one.

Q5:
Nothing noteworthy to say. Easy one.

Q6:
Not a particularily good hint, considering what the question was.
In the end, though, there could only be one correct answer to this one. (The other 3 were just.... obviously wrong)

Q7:
There were 2 potential outcomes on this one, depending on what the question would end up being. (At least from what I could find)
The species overall is classified as critically endangered (even though the south-western black rhinoceros is classified as near threatened

Luckily, "near threatened" wasn't an option, so this one was easy enough.

Q8:
Can someone PLEASE tell me the relation between the hint and the question here?

Hint: Say My Name, Mr White Rhino
Question: Why is the "white" rhinoceros named like that, despite being grey? (popular theory)

I mean... how is this hint supposed to aim one towards "A mis-translation"?
(No, I'm not salty/mad/anything... just totally clueless.)

From what I can see (even if I completely ignore my pre-quiz notes), there can only be one relevant answer based on the hint alone: "Their babies are white"
If such were the case, it wouldn't be the only species whose color changes from birth to adulthood.


Q9:
Nothing noteworthy to say. Easy one.

Q10:
There isn't really any way to make a connection between the hint for this one, nor is there any one, single correct answer to the question itself.
Though it's fairly obvious what the correct answer is (despite not being the correct answer for each individual), a lot of people will have to answer dishonestly to have this one marked as having answered correctly.



Sometimes the hints are spot on
Other times, they're as cryptic as a beaver munching on a snickerdoodle while farting in a belfry...

I had a pretty hard time with these hints, should have tried to find scientific facts about rhinos instead of being sidetracked by it, so it was most guesswork. No wonder only 41 showed as winning.

Yeah, same here. The only thing that seemed somewhat relevant was the Peter comparing being called fat to having sex with a rhino in that gag, so I jumped from that to rhino's weight.
But I think I finally cracked the code: the hint has Peter Griffin and Mr Rhino - rhino's family name is not listed! Did anyone guess that during preparation? Anyone?
Also, I noticed how obviously wrong the other answers were only when I reviewed my screenshots. In the heat of the moment I read the question and went to the wiki page to check - barely managed it in time and I didn't even have to panic in the first place! :ROFLMAO:

Did you know about browsing herbivory before? Because I didn't and I stumbled on it almost by chance, although I probably would've still found it and learned about browsing and grazing when I was preparing for #5.

Because Tinder is all about swiping I expected the following fact to come into play:
When in season the females will mark dung piles. Males will follow females when they are in season; when she defecates he will scrape and spread the dung, making it more difficult for rival adult males to pick up her scent trail.

Basically stripping the meme-ness from the meme was the key, which gives us "name white rhino". Googling "white rhinoceros name" gives us
Their name comes from the Afrikaans word “weit”, which means wide and refers to the animal's muzzle.

and even at a glance the Wikipedia page for White rhinoceros begins with a "Naming" section, which talks precisely about that theory.
EDIT Wrote so much that forgot to mention that I totally didn't deduce it like that, I read about the name thing while checking main rhino wiki pages, and for that hint I only prepared square-lipped rhinoceros and names of remaining two northern white rhinos (+Sudan).

Nope, didn't know about the term prior to looking it up.
It was quite easy to draw the line between a list of browser-names and feeding though. "Browsing" is already a verb (since before the days of the internet), and I found it likely to have some connection to food.

Waaaaaaaay too misleading. The hint practically screams Walter White (which would lead to the hint alluding to "Walter the white rhino") from Breaking Bad, a show I haven't seen at all and only know minor facts about due to the quizmaster's affinity for it.

Had Sudan noted down for H6 myself.
In the aftermath, I noticed that this was completely worthless.
Didn't notice the black/white irrelevance at the time though, due to losing half an hour's worth of research-time due to my connection suddenly dropping. (As the quiz drew near, I readied myself with what I had managed to gather, preparing to participate through my phone.)
With a bit more time, I'd probably have refined my H6-notes. (Not that I needed it, as that one was figured out during the actual question, though by a bit of luck....)

Tech report:
Significant delay (I counted 9 seconds) on Q1, and a smaller (but still significant) delay on Q2

Insufficient notes resulted in a 9/10 yet again >_>
(failed Q2)

I seem to have had a loooooot of 9/10-rounds lately...
