TTRM's notes said:"Godspeed Spider-Man" = quote from "Spider-Man" (2002)
Spoken by Norman Osborn (Green Goblin) (portrayed by Willem Dafoe)
Son of Norman Osborn Harry Osborn (portrayed by James Franco)
Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborne
James Franco as Harry Osborn
None of the above seems to have any notable connection to Martin Scorsese
The only relation between any of the actors and Martin Scorsese is that of Willem Dafoe
Willem Dafoe starred in:
"The Last Temptation of Christ" (1988) (Willem Dafoe as Jesus)
"The Aviator" (2004) (Willem Dafoe as Roland Sweet)
James Franco has starred in NO MOVIES directly related to Martin Scorsese
For his advocacy in film restoration he received the Robert Osborne Award at the 2018 TCM Film Festival.
The award was given to Scorsese as "an individual who has significantly contributed to preserving the cultural heritage of classic films".
TTRM's notes said:Harry Northup (Hint says "son of......". Norman Osborn uttered the quote, and his son is Harry.)
"As an actor, he made frequent appearances in the films of Martin Scorsese and Jonathan Demme."
STARRED IN SCORSESE'S SIX (6) FIRST MOVIES
1967 Who's That Knocking at My Door The Rapist
1972 Boxcar Bertha Deputy Sheriff Harvey Hall
1973 Mean Streets Soldier
1974 Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore Joe & Jim's Bartender
1976 Taxi Driver Doughboy
1977 New York, New York Alabama
Makes sense in hindsight, but I'd still say the hint was a poor choice.I thought it might have been James Franco (Willem Dafoe's Spider-Man character's son), but splitting into "Son of God" makes sense.
pre-quiz notes on H9
Realization after stepping away for a while:
During the quiz, I immediately went for "Harry Dean Stanton" on account of the above.
Once I was done actually reading the question, time was up.
i.e. had I chosen to read the question before selecting my answer, I would NOT have had time to actually select an answer.
This hint was a butt.
Sure, I had the correct answer in my notes, but still; The hint says "Son of {movie-quote}", indicating Harry (Son of Norman).
Not only that, but the movie hinted to in the hint has (as far as I could find) NOTHING AT ALL to do with Martin Scorsese.
a salty 9/10
Technical report: Significant delay on Q1, minor delay on Q2. Otherwise, no issues detected.
pre-post edit: Yes, I know the question is about a movie directed by Scorsese, but the hint was still misleading as F.
It was probably intended to be like that. As I said, combined 2 hints together. It's kind of elegant, but you have to get there. I also researched Harry Osborn and James Franco first. Even looked up the son of Dafoe. In the end I looked up Dafoe himself, but honestlly even after seeing the Jesus role it took me a while before it clicked.Dafoe was in Speed 2 and in Spiderman 1 as main villain , God is self explained, the only misleading part that there wasn't any space between God and speed
Best part in today's research was when google referenced me to this page for hint #5...
I seriously considered researching parallels with Scorsese's movies before coming to my senses.
Whoa, that's some good ones. Will I twist the knife in the wound by saying that, as a person who doesn't watch movies in general and learned about the existence of this Martin Scorsese guy a few hours ago, my thought process only involved giving each of the hints a minute-long google, and in the case of H9, finished at Harry Osborn?pre-quiz notes on H9

We have a chance that none of the options is the correct answerHmmm so in today's quiz - answer to the last question will be correctly entered? I remember that LAST TIME this was wrongly entered...
Oh...I did not forget about that slip...that question is updated. Small 15-20 min delay, having some technical problems it would seem.Hmmm so in today's quiz - answer to the last question will be correctly entered? I remember that LAST TIME this was wrongly entered...
I don't think I can't fix it on my own.
