All these Striden keys surely are demo keys expiring soon (see AwA giveaway). Unfortunately, blacklisting doesn't work atm?

I agree wholeheartedly with you on the asset flip games. I wish IndieGala would ban those games from the giveaways section. However, my theory is that they either won't or cannot because of the litany of exceptions that would have to be programmed into the giveaway form.

As I have already shown with a guaranteed giveaway for 160, at least some of these games and DLCs are sold here on IG as well - it wouldn't make sense for IG to ban games of their own catalogue. The problem originates on Steam - maybe it helps if all of us report all these games on Steam? Well, probably just a dream...

Its up to the dev to set the price of his games, so it isn't against Valve rules. The only way would be a report for asset flip if they are those kind of games.
Depending on how you get the game, like in a bundle claiming to gives good games, you could ask a store to stop including in bundles or to stop selling those (second case may have less luck to be accepted).

Yes. that is the problem of Steam. See for an example
So the problem is the lack of mimimal quality control at Steam (see all the Hede games and stuff), and it pops up here because you can get such keys for 1 ct and use them to level up on IG, rationally.

I got a Smite 2 key somwhere else and activated it succesfully, it was Alpha and i had no problem with it... until the next time i got on Steam and the game had disappeared, it seem Stem can count it as Demo and remove it if you don't install the game.

I don't know is is always like that or if in some plaeces the License is ok but to be safe don't enter those giveaways.

Its the dev that revoke demo keys once full game is out or playtest ended, its not always like that but often. In case of SMITE 2 the game is F2P so making a GA with those keys is just a scam.

If the license is remove you lose the game and the +1 so it's pointless.
Considering it's the same appID as the versions being sold, there is nothing to suggest this won't simply be the full F2P version. The current version is early access on Steam, not a separate game that will be removed.

So what you're getting, apart from being able to play the game early, and link your original Smite account, with cross progression rewards, you also get +1 and a retail license.

I don't think you understand, i got one of those keys, it saud Alpha but i did not concern myself, i just wanted the game.

Then the key was revoked, probably cause the alpha is no more, and i don't have access to the game cause, Smite 2 is NOT F2P but a paid game so it's obvious that the devs remove those keys.

Thus, every single key posted here is a scam, point.

It is you that does not understand. The key you got is not like the keys given through Gleam, MMOBomb or SteelSeries. They key activation message simply says Smite 2. Here is the SteamDB info: https://steamdb.info/app/2437170/dlc/ with the three paid DLC items connected to it.

None of the current keys have been revoked. They have announced that it will go F2P early 2025.
Thus, every single key posted here is a scam, point.
Thus, you do not know what you're talking about, and do not understand the meaning of the word scam.

Edit: 83 copies have been given away on SG SMITE 2 - Free Steam Keys and Giveaways with a 100% positive received rate. On SG you have to activate it on the Steam account you use for SG. So people would definitely notice if the key was revoked.

The game will be F2P, what you get is play testing the gameplay and get ride of criticaj bugs. If keys aren't revoked, progress will be reset, unless they says the opposite (which they don't in their FAQ). So unless you give the Founder's Edition you are scamming people.
Here are 3 more:

This is how you make a GA for the FE. You use this URL in the creation section: store.steampowered.com/sub/1020900/
Anyone making a GA for Smite 2, and using a key say, obtained from AWA, that is currently giving away Smite 2 EA keys, is accurately describing the key.

A scam, for people that don't understand what the word means, is the intentional misrepresentation of something for personal gain. That is not happening here.

In comparison, everything given away from beckabark844786324 is likely a scam. 173 negative feedback, and the key I got from them wasn't even a key, just random numbers and letters.

Yes, this is how you MAKE a giveaway, buat dose it have to do with keys?

I just got a key for Smite 2 from Alienware and it's the FULL GAME, so it's ok, the "Alpha" that i got before got removed and that's not ok.

If someone have one key from the giveaway it's ok but people that have more are proably using alpha key.

And you are comparing it to another user abusing the system but i'll ask, if that user jump off a cliff will you do it too?
I'd say no so don't make excuses.

Now a simple question: do you have Smite 2?
If not you use a key to activate it and after that you check all keys to see if they are alpha, normalyy they say it unsless the game don't have the option, if onekey is alpha all the others are probably aplhas too so don't use them.

And if even a single winner complain about alpha keys don't use them, gift them or dump them but don't use them as giveaways.

@ausf you pretty much ignored the critical point in your reply, plus what you says is wrong, you d'ont get a full game you get an Alpha playtest which means if keys aren't removed at the end all your progress will. Plus this will be a F2P game, but atm GA are worthing 24 iS, which worth around 30€. So tell me in all those alpha access is it a 30€ game? No its the basic access and absolutly not the Founder's Edition.

New batch:

Plus a batch of EVE Online DLC at 190 iS
