Does anyone knows how to block someone from giveaways? I got a bad feedback from a guy in a giveaway that i posted and he didnt read that it was a Alpha key and i shouldnt post beta or alpha keys in giveaway and now is my fault that he doesnt read.View attachment 2305

You just a cheater. It is forbidden by rules to giveaway beta or in-game keys. You must giveaway only STEAM keys for full games.

I would advise you to stop putting Alpha keys in the giveaway section unless you want more negative votes. I would probably give you the negative vote too, but fortunately I can recognize a scam.
It's not a problem, maybe you didn't know, but don't do it again. I also did a giveaway with a demo key when I started using this site, it was a legit demo with the word DEMO written in a thumbnail, but I got negative vote and I learned that I should not do those kind of giveaways. Since then, I only give legit full games. If you have some extra keys for Alphas, Betas, Demos, Playtests, etc., just drop it in Keydrops thread.

Dude, you can expect that everyone will click to read description. It would take hours for people to spend their points and not everyone is willing to do that. But, that doesn't matter. Kid is not the only one calling you a cheater. I bet everybody here is against you on that. Just accept the fact that you did something wrong and try not to do it again.

I'll be blunt with you because I am tired of this kind of situations. That kind of keys are trash, they're useless. You can get them for free and in huge amounts, so they don't have any kind of value.
People enter the giveaways section expecting to win a full game, and that's how it should work. If you see people giving away alpha/beta/demo keys I doesn't mean that's a legit way to level up, they're cheating giving people trash.

And it doesn't matter if you say beforehand it's and alpha key. People rarely check the description because it takes less time to enter simply clicking the button rather than entering their respective page.

Let's suppose a robber screams he's going to rob you, that makes it less of a crime? No.
I know it's an extreme example, but here applies too. It doesn't matter if you say it's an alpha key, that doesn't make it less of a cheat giveaway.
If you didn't knew about it, that's okay, everyone makes mistakes. But don't do it again, especially if you don't want to get more negative feedback.

And the thing about Indiegala not doing anything. Well... they rarely enforce the rules, but that doesn't mean you should do it too. If the cheaters jump off a bridge, would you do it too?

First of all, IndieGala is business dedicated to selling games and the giveaway/trade/forum section has been just a secondary function of this site. They are probably crippled by Corona like the rest of the world and trying to survive and maintain this place. When Admins comes online they ban a few people, but they are not involved as much as they used to be. Why? I don't know.
There are a lot of people scamming in various ways, stealing, killing in this world and you don't do that just because there is lots of them doing it. As I said before, I did the same thing as you - I've seen a lot of people creating giveaways with the same demo key that I had, and I did it also. But the difference between you and me is that I accepted the fact that I was wrong, it's normal, I can't be right all the time.

in the 90's i bought a product via a brochure just because the vendor said i will have a gift (a photocamera)...well some days later i received a disposable photocamera....

I agree that calling you a cheater isn't right, you'd only be a cheater if its a repeated offence, otherwise its just a mistake.

And the alpha/beta keys giveaways seem to fall in the same category as the GOG keys giveaways, as in they are welcomed by very few people, and most will give a negative feedback as they expect to get a Steam key and don't even read the description of the giveaway.

There was a time where alpha/beta keys(1) and free games(2) were reported and the giveaway was deleted and if the user made enough of those giveaways then a ban would follow, but now there isn't a moderator for the giveaway section so its mostly up to the people to "take up arms" and give a negative feedback, even if they use the key, because thats most likely when they see its for a beta not the full game.

cheaters are people that give codes that dont work and dont try to fix the situation by offering some other key or game. One time i gort a key in a trade that didnt work but the player later contact me and try to get me another key. was he a a cheater NO. He is a nice person. Did i rage and call him a cheater NO. like you guys like to do to me. Im a honest person and didnt try to deceive anyone like you guys want to make others belive. I live by the laws of God and i woulnd do something like that...you guys are bulling me and make me sad shame on you guys.

Just because Indiegala support staff in understaffed and can't cover all corners that doesn't give anybody right to abuse the giveaway system . The truth is that now its down to comunity members to react to false giveaways . Also why are you being so stubborn , if you can't afford keys , just give out the keys that you win from gameplay giveaway challenges or join lootboy or buy cheap bundles from fanatical , there are plenty of free or low priced options for you to consider . If you still think what you are doing is right, then keep doing it and get blacklisted from other members who realized it was a demo key .
