Like I have 5 (or more) Steam accounts of the same guy on my Steam blacklist, all lvl 0 with only CSGO and all VAC ban. This is not new, I check my GA and I started in 2017.I never understood why they never tied it to Steam Accounts completely. It should be a requirement, not a recommendation.
Also if they locked it to particular steam levels or those that have access to the marketplace, it would cut down on a lot of fake accounts.
You'd be surprised how many people don't want to fork over $5 to unlock the marketplace.
Hi there, I think it depends on the positive to negative ratio and I always hope even if people posted "duplicate keys" that it was an accident. I can say that for the two negative reviews I've got that the users sadly did not get in touch with me, I'm 100% sure we could've found a solution (possibly can even now). But I don't know if they even would be interested to be 'bothered' by me to get my "100 percent positive rating". Then there's this 'ongoing trend' some indie developers on Steam started, in which the developer revoked originally good keys through steam which of course caused trouble with the giveaways.
We're human, mistakes happen, misunderstandings are a possibility, so I guess one should always try to get into contact with the person who created the giveaway. So uh thanks for reading my train of thought?
Best greetings,
Ossel

I remember discovering the no free game rule afterward by broswing on the forum and some other people too. This site GAs have always been a jungle with little do to stop cheater.
NB: some Anna's Quest GAs are still glitched, its like 5€ on Steam but 103IS here instead of 15IS.
You check Indiegala profile for giveaways feedback on the site but you have either to find the profile url (if he write it somewhere) or find one of his giveaways.P.S. Can someone tell me how to check reputation and Steam profile for giveaway creator if this person isn't one of winners for my giveaway and he's not active in trade section? I can't see it from the giveaway page - their name is linked to forum profile (why - I wonder)
agreed, but maybe it's a legit key since that game used to be NOT be free (it's free since like last October 2019 or something?). so until the giveaway end this person gets the benefit of the doubt, maybe they bought the key a long time ago in which case it will at least give the winner trading cards on Steam which is neat since the free version does not do that. We'll have to wait for someone to win the key and report to us if it was a good one or a fake.Free to play. Even says so in the game art.
Just give them negative feedback. That way they don't get the points and eventually, if they keep doing it, the automod will autoban them, assuming it actually works as I thought it did. Given I saw someone with a 3/-14 ratio still posting fake keys I'm starting to doubt.hi ive won a giveaway for Annas quest: Link
sadly the key didnt work... and i read somewhere this person also gave away a faulty key for the night of the rabbit
both giveaways cost 103 IC to enter... and would have given a lot of points towards leveling.
i also tried to contact the gifter but to no avail
feels really bad as i was looking forward towards this game
And the winner just immediately reposted it: https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/card/crusader-kings-ii/646483Free to play. Even says so in the game art.
My guess is that the key, since the game wasn't previously free to play, will drop cards. And the winner just immediately reposted it: https://www.indiegala.com/giveaways/card/crusader-kings-ii/646483
Nope, even if the key is legit we shouldn't be able to post free games.so until the giveaway end this person gets the benefit of the doubt
Hi there. Maybe it's not the best thread to ask for, but could someone direct me to a official thread with the rules for giveaways? There was a link on the first page of this thread but it redirected to a 404, and I don't seem to be able to find any pinned message anywhere (which seems strange).
Thanks in advance, and apologies if this should be requested somewhere else, but it seemed a good place to start by.
Edit: found some links in the previous page about more or less how it should work. It seems thera is no official set-in-stone rules, so I will try to apply common sense. Thanks!
