Like I have 5 (or more) Steam accounts of the same guy on my Steam blacklist, all lvl 0 with only CSGO and all VAC ban. This is not new, I check my GA and I started in 2017.
I remember discovering the no free game rule afterward by broswing on the forum and some other people too. This site GAs have always been a jungle with little do to stop cheater.
NB: some Anna's Quest GAs are still glitched, its like 5€ on Steam but 103IS here instead of 15IS.

My question was however made to the admins and other staff of IG. I've been a member for a few years now, lvl 6, sinned in the first 2 levels here making a few GA's that were masses, but that was a very long time ago.
And that was why I asked the admins, why is it suddenly OK to get to lvl 6 and above by posting "crap".

But they could tie it to a Steam account lvl 1 or higher, since to level up from 0 to 1 will cost money. Not very profitable for a bot owner or clone maker to pay $5 for each account to be able to scam, I guess.

You check Indiegala profile for giveaways feedback on the site but you have either to find the profile url (if he write it somewhere) or find one of his giveaways.

agreed, but maybe it's a legit key since that game used to be NOT be free (it's free since like last October 2019 or something?). so until the giveaway end this person gets the benefit of the doubt, maybe they bought the key a long time ago in which case it will at least give the winner trading cards on Steam which is neat since the free version does not do that. We'll have to wait for someone to win the key and report to us if it was a good one or a fake.

sadly the key didnt work... and i read somewhere this person also gave away a faulty key for the night of the rabbit
both giveaways cost 103 IC to enter... and would have given a lot of points towards leveling.
i also tried to contact the gifter but to no avail
feels really bad as i was looking forward towards this game

Just give them negative feedback. That way they don't get the points and eventually, if they keep doing it, the automod will autoban them, assuming it actually works as I thought it did. Given I saw someone with a 3/-14 ratio still posting fake keys I'm starting to doubt.

My guess is that the key, since the game wasn't previously free to play, will drop cards.
I know I got it before it went free to play, and my "badge" page shows I got drops due to purchase.
There is merit to some games that are free-to-play for some users, but it's rare since a lot of games don't go from paid -> free-to-play often

Hi there. Maybe it's not the best thread to ask for, but could someone direct me to a official thread with the rules for giveaways? There was a link on the first page of this thread but it redirected to a 404, and I don't seem to be able to find any pinned message anywhere (which seems strange).
Thanks in advance, and apologies if this should be requested somewhere else, but it seemed a good place to start by.

but if the key is legit, then the key is NOT for a free game in my opinion. it's for a PAID VERSION of a game that is now free. Like the free game is a different "package" than the one that this user was giving away, at least for me. I would't mind winning a key for a game if it gave me card drops. at all
