Some answers sometimes not decent, based on the quiz maker's decision-personal thoughts maybe

That's... exactly what I was trying to do.
Although "enunciation→Levitation Charm" might be a bit of a jump for someone unfamiliar with HP, the hint also mentions teaching, and Wingardium Leviosa seems to be the only thing Flitwick teaches that year. So not that big of a jump maybe?

Maybe someone less informed would give us better perspective?
Hey @alphapluspt you said you never saw the movies or read the books, how did you prepare for Q7? And how does my idea of preparing with its hint sound to you?

PS When googling the hint itself that's the third result for me:

Well I didn't save my hints, but I can give you my train of thought on that question.

As I told before, I have no knowledge about HP, so what I did was to google about "Professor Flitwick". Then I pretty much went for the main information about who he was, and what he teached (I had "Charms" as the main Hint for the answer).
I never went as deep as looking about what "enunciations" were.
I'm okay with it, though. The hints had sense - This was just not the Quizz I would do well.

Had I just answered the clue instead of actually reading the question, I would have gone with Ron Perlman as (one of) his favorite actors, but I mistakenly thought Doug Jones was in more of his movies, or at least arguably in the more "prominent" roles.

Reminds me of the one I missed about the Champion Champion, where I expected the reigning Champion, not a former champion with the most wins.

Thanks for today's quiz.
I answered all questions correctly, but there was a (not a visual) bug on 1st question:

540 of 550 points:

On a side note: this is third consecutive time of such not a visual bug, but previous were for 2nd question (-40 points in total, because of this).

You might not now his face, but you should know his works.

Same goes for Andy Serkis.

With most movies, I never actually identify the actors playing the characters (some exceptions exist), but rather the character that's being played.

If you asked me who played [insert character], I'd likely draw a complete blank or hazard a wild, random guess, with 99% chance of being wrong...

Suffice to say, I can't immediately recall ever having heard either of the two names here mentioned.

Anyway....

Ron Perlman (Cronos, Blade II, Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Pacific Rim, Book of Life, Trollhunters, Pinocchio, Nightmare Alley)
Doug Jones (Mimic, Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, The Strain, Crimson Peak, The Shape of Water)

Then again.... Trollhunters isn't a live-action movie (I wouldn't know if the same applies to any of the other titles in the quote, without first looking it up), and since the question asks specifically for "actor" and not "voice actor", should titles with voice-acting be omitted?

Bah.... this line of thought has derailed.... not sure what my goal was when I started composing this one...

Conclusion: H5 is misleading, as there can be no defined correct answer based on the hint alone. Only Guillermo himself could provide a clear answer to the hint. (Note: Clear answer to the hint, not the featured question.)

The question contains the word "prominence". This does not equate to "quantity", which apparently (judging by which answer was the correct one) was what the question actually asked for.

Taking a second look at things (honestly, I find it odd that I didn't even mentally register the presence of the name "Ron Perlman" when doing my pre-quiz research...), I find the following info notable when googling the hint once more:
737
738
Both of these, of course, have different sources, and anything found on the internet should not be immediately taken as concrete facts.
Neither actually provides sufficient info to settle this though, as the first one (Doug Jones) states "creature" and not "actor", while the second one (Ron Perlman) is mentioned with a plural prefix, indicating that he isn't the #1 favorite actor of Toro. (Please excuse my crude editing of the screenshots of the search results of the internet of the..... right....)
Either way.... if going by the hint alone, Ron Perlman is clearly a wrong answer, per indication of the above info.

Of the previously mentioned titles...
  • Doug Jones (Mimic, Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, The Strain, Crimson Peak, The Shape of Water)
..."The Strain" can be excluded, as it's a serie and not a movie.
The rest on the list are (live-action) movies.

For Perlman...
  • Ron Perlman (Cronos, Blade II, Hellboy, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Pacific Rim, Book of Life, Trollhunters, Pinocchio, Nightmare Alley)
...I'd say Trollhunters can be excluded, both for being animated, and for being a serie.
Whether or not Nightmare Alley should be excluded or not, due to not having been released yet, could well be discussed.
"The Book of Life" is also an animated movie, and it's inclusion in "acting" as opposed to "voice acting".... I'd say (per specifications in the question) this one should be excluded.
"Pinocchio" is an animated move, and also not yet released, so I'd say exclude this one too.

Totaling it up, that leaves 6 released live-action movies for Doug Jones, and 5 released live-action movies for Ron Perlman.

Edit: And at this point, I'm starting to question myself on whether I'm spending too much time on this one...

Prominence: the state of being important, famous, or noticeable.
Actually since Perlman is definitely more famous than Jones, it fits nicely. I think we were only arguing about number of works because of the "favorite" part of the hint (At least I was).
About all the exclusions, I disagree that Trollhunters and The Strain should be discounted since nothing about the hint or the question narrows the scope to only full-motion live-action theatrical releases.
I'm a bit on the fence about Pinocchio and Nightmare Alley, and I didn't count them initially since they're not out yet or even finished. However I think they should count just fine, since Nightmare Alley had some filming done after Perlman was cast, and Pinocchio is listed as being in post-production, so voice-overs are either done or in-progress. So collaboration definitely happened and I think that's more important in context of both hint and question than public getting to see the results of that collaboration.
Conclusion: H5 is misleading, as there can be no defined correct answer based on the hint alone. Only Guillermo himself could provide a clear answer to the hint. (Note: Clear answer to the hint, not the featured question.)
It's misleading in the best way way possible: by both pushing you towards actors he worked with and giving you enough rope to hang yourself if you're not attentive enough

Which actor has the most prominence in all of the Del Toro movies?
Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia (or simply Trollhunters) is an American computer-animated fantasy television series...
The Strain is an American horror drama television series...

I rest my case
(Sidebar: Trollhunters was fairly good. 3below ran it's course afterwards, not leaving as great an impression on me as it's preceeding story. Currently awaiting the premiere of Wizards.)

Oh, right. Forgot that was in the question o_O So they work for hint, but not the question.
Then the movie count is 8-6, Ron Perlman still wins, I guess.
Or 7-6 depending on how exactly Pinocchio should be classified.
Or 6-6 additionally depending on how much involvement Del Toro had in The Book of Life as a producer.
:)

Actually del toro's favorite actor is Frederico Luppi. Perlman is just the guy he worked with most in Hollywood.

I just used in the hints "Mr Rhino" instead of just "Rhino" just to make Breaking Bad puns or reference Exit Limbo.
P.S. no questions about the 3D modeler thou.

For the really long out of bounds hint, the left word you figured out it is "Chrome" and the right missing word is "high"

Lol, the hints are really confusing. I still don't know if this is about Breaking Bad, Exit Limbo, rhinos, some character named Mr Rhino, a rhino in Family Guy... Usually at least you can tell the topic!
