This is probably too late, but description states it's from GOG not Steam. Also this, Memoria, and The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav are for some reason worth 103 iC. All are Daedalic games.

This is a well know steam API bug with Daedelic games. Whenever the Gigantic Bundle is at 90% discount, its price after discount is applied to all the apps in the package. It's a Steam API bug, you can see how the price is applied if you search on Steam for one of the package items. The price on the store page is not affected because it probably takes its price from the corresponding sub, while the search displays the price of the individual apps.

Its a problem on steam side not with indiegala or steamgifts if you use steamgifts also.

Hi mseals.
I can understand that view, and I can somewhat feel that way too. The thing is, we (well I at least) serious givers would quit giving games on this site if it was to be resetted "once in a while". I've given too much to see my level get down to zero again. That would be a (bad) reaction to cheaters, not in any way proactive. I would not post any more giveaways, but the cheaters would keep posting fakes/demos/freebies and reach high levels.
After a while, only cheaters would post giveaways, since sincere givers have nothing to gain in either levels, trust, reputation nor higher chance to win.

We need a more proactive mean to stop the cheaters, or making what was worth 103cr at the time, get down to 1 after the sale is over and dropping the XP on that account accordingly (this was for the Deadalus sales over and over).

I hope you understand my point of view, you do a great job, I wish there was more of you.
Fredric
No I understand your point of view. My thoughts were as it was reset those that had a bunch of bad rep would continue to get them and be removed. Persoanaly i think they should remove the levels all together. And instead do something Like give more points for people giving away stuff. And if they would help me set up some Ideas I would have on it Have the additional points go for either A.) special giveaways or B.) credit on buying Games on the Indiegala website. The problem is once again I would have to be able to be stricter on what was allowed and be more aggressive on removing rule breakers. Currently If you have say -20 and say 500 + they don't want to remove them because they say .. they are giving away a lot of games. What i see from those stats is they are giving away a lot they shouldn't and people aren't reporting them. So the site has to decide .. quality or quantity. I prefer The first over the latter myself.

Ah, I was not aware of how that worked. I only saw the individual prices. It makes sense how it effects these giveaways. Thanks!

Technically we don't have any control over who is on a blacklist. But I wouldn't worry too much about it . Means it might be someone actually not trying to give away fake stuff.
this guy is trying to force others to give feedback as quick as possible so ig has it harder to spot his fake-giveaways

Personally, I don't see a problem here - it's forcing people to actually check keys they win and give a feedback in a timely manner instead of re-gifting them or waiting 'til the last moment and then crying and complaining if something goes wrong.
I won a couple of GA from this one some (quite long) time ago - keys were good, and as I try to check my wins as soon as I can anyway - what's the problem?
It doesn't say anything about "if you give negative feedback" - that would be alarming...

I understand you, and I am on your side in many ways. We agree, giving should be awarded, and even if you have nothing to give, you can have your chance too.
Need more volounteers to check GAs if they are from mass GAs? I bet you can recruit many from this forum to help in that way, no cost.

Sorry, it sounded like I didn't understand what you meant. I do, but until the changes are made... Consider take some volounteers no cost, to help sorting out the cheaters/free/bad ones :)

This particular thing should probably get moved to another place in the fora
:)
Since it's no longer "report giveaways" we're talking about, and I have no clue where we should talk about this ;)

Thank you attic for recommending me to volunteer but its not something I have time for currently. This issue is not something that is on top of their list of things to do and I suspect it is a very low priority for them. With the number of people complaining about getting games they paid money for on the forums over the last few months, the customer support are constantly having to sort that out which is a bigger priority. I have stopped making too many giveaways now due to the site being buggy, server lag and other glitches compared to other giveaway sites (steamgifts) so I mostly focus on them. I would make giveaways more often if the site improved but I just do not see this happening anytime soon which is a shame as I have a soft spot for it. The only giveaways I make are auction or guaranteed giveaways as the feedback system is so easily abused and misused that I have no confidence in it. I still think issues like this should be mentioned/discussed in this forum so people can be made aware of things.

A few years ago there was a website they owned that was straight giveaways. It was extremely popular and the chat room was constantly filled with people. Indiegala was also working on this website as well. Once they had this site running they moved the giveaway and the chat to this site and their focus was more on the sales side. First i am not saying is a bad thing. You have to make money to keep stuff going. Just back when it was a website of it's own we had like 8 mods covering all time zones. Once it was moved to here Real Life has taken most people away. I have 3 mods that look at the chat room that is basically dead. And i am the only one that controls the giveaways. I try to get on a couple times a day but there are times i don't get on for a few days and my power is limited. The giveaway section is not the sites priority. the sales section is and i understand that completely. More mods wouldn't really help either at this time. What I think although irrelevant is they should redo the website completely. Unfortunately that costs money. But I would go back to 2 separate Setups. and give me a few more mods with graduated powers. Not up to me though so i will do what i can when I can for as long as i can. And hope is enough, Oh .. and if they decided to phase me out.. I have been a mod since may of 2013.. Hope I get a gold watch LOL

Well said, and you explained greatly. I wish there were more of you, as in mseals, to be around. And I agree, you should have more decisive power, to do more on your own and not just send it up the ladder. I'm hopeful though, that the people in charge might (eventually) listen to us users, without us, no business, no income, right?

Thanks for your input, mseals, you are doing a great job with means you have.

If it is a guaranteed one then you need to contact support The person giving it away has no bearing on that key.
